		<description>How Weather affects Agriculture
Have you ever noticed that prices on dairy, fruits and vegetables seem to skyrocket sometimes during the year? This is because of the weather changes we experience everyday. Do you ever think about how weather is affecting your food or the clothes you will buy? Weather affects where and how your food is grown and how the products grown that are used to make the clothes we wear everyday. Hello I am Mason Wilson and I am from the River Valley FFA and I am doing my speech on weather and how it affects agriculture.
Farmers need certain weather to grow their crops. They need a place where they can
have the sunlight the crop fields need and rain to help the plants grow. And there can be
many problems resulting from bad weather conditions such as droughts, storms,
tornadoes and many more. If a farmer’s field suffers from a drought the plants will
become extremely brittle and they will break very easily and the plants will eventually die from not having any water and the longer a drought the
more chance of a fire breaking out. Last year in 2009 northern California lost 272,000
acres of land because of 82 fires. By the end of 2009 there were a total of 77,315 fires

having burned 5,914,821 acres.

Rain has a lot of influence on the crops: too much rain can damage the crops, not

enough rain can make the crops dry, different crops need more or less water and if they

didn&#039;t get them they fail to grow and we don&#039;t get crops and the prices of what is left will

go up.

Did you know that 18 percent of Texas is under cloud-seeded skies because local

farmers and businesses want more rain? Cloud seeding is when scientists put little

particles of silver iodide in a cloud, water droplets form around them, and drop out of the

cloud as rain. It works in a lab, but there is almost no way to tell how much it works in

the outdoors. This was extremely popular until the 1970 when it was found out the US

was using this technology against the Vietnamese.

“There are basically several brands of weather modification.

Hurricane mitigation technology has been proposed but not yet attempted, like putting oil

slicks on the ocean to reduce evaporation or putting a giant gel in the ocean that sucks up

moisture from the atmosphere and adds it to the ocean.

Bill Gates has patented a hurricane modification technology which pumps cold water up

from the bottom of the ocean, because hurricanes are fuelled by warm water.

Geo engineering is the really large scale, sci-fi projects like putting 16 trillion tiny discs

in space to reflect about 2 percent of sunlight back into space.

The most popular idea is that of the so-called “man-made volcano.” It means spraying

sulfur dioxide up into the sky and that would mimic what happens when big volcanoes

erupt and sulfur dioxide acts like a thin sheet in the atmosphere that could block two to

four percent of sunlight. When big volcanoes erupt, the world cools by 2 to 4 degrees.

But this could also damage the Ozone layer and what happens if a volcano erupts after

you have sprayed sulfur dioxide? Are you then looking at a new ice age?” - Allianz.com

The high winds of a tornado will easily snap the crops and rip them right out of the ground destroying many acres of farm land. It is almost guaranteed that the prices on tomatoes, strawberries, may go up a little bit as a result of some crop loss they&#039;ve had in Florida. The Florida orange companies haven’t fully recovered from the hurricane damage in 2004 and 2005.
Weather is both good and bad when it comes to the prices of food. If there is normal
weather all year than the prices will be lower because there will be more crops that
survived and the producers won’t have to charge more to make up for lost profit. If there
is bad weather prices will go up because the producers won’t be able to make enough
money to replace all the crops they may have lost due to the bad weather. Australia has
seen bad droughts six years running, and last year there was major flooding in Argentina.
Since both of these countries are major dairy exporters, milk and butter the prices are
much higher than they used to be. In China prices of vegetables are really high because
of really bad snowstorms. In Beijing prices of vegetables like cabbage, egg plant, and
cucumber have risen 30%. &quot;Since Jan 3, some vegetable growers started to complain that
the plants in their green houses have withered and rotted due to the weather,&quot; said Sun
Zhigang, director of the agriculture information center in Shouguang. Prices will hopefully go down so that people can afford the food. If bad weather stays away farmers will have better crop growth and there will be a lot of products when they are ready to be sold and the prices will be low because there is enough food to go around.
As much as weather can be

What should I pay more attention to and what should I avoid when choosing an SEO service provider? I&#039;m looking to get on page one of google. Thank you!

		<description>Hello,

It is our first time installing hardwood floors. We are putting them in our living room and kitchen which flow together through an open area in the wall that separates them. My question is - if we lay the hardwood lengthwise in the living room, then it will be widthwise in the kitchen. And vice versa. The kitchen is about 10 X 20 and living room 13 X 20. Is there a preference for which room should have it lengthwise? The living room has a window on one of each (short and long walls) and the kitchen has a window and slider door on the 20 ft wall.

Second, is it possible to install hardwood in both directions? Meaning if we start in the living room and then hit the opening to the kitchen, can we work backwards to the back wall in the kitchen - or do we have to lay both rooms at the same time and hope they match up at the opening? We can&#039;t really put a transition strip in because the opening is on a diagonal (house is full of angles) and it would look really bad.

		<description>Hi there,

I&#039;m a radiologic technologist with my BS in health sciences and considering going back to school to get my Accel. BSN with a goal of becoming a CRNA. I have alwasy considered nursing as a career, was actually accepted to a BSN program out of high school, but decided to take another route and get my radiography degree (2 year AS program). I am almost 23, female, no kids, and figure I would finish my MSN CRNA degree by the time I&#039;m about 30 (start 15 month ABSN May 2010-Aug. 2011, 1-2 years ICU exp., 28 month MSN degree). I was fairly shocked with the job market for radiographers when I graduated school (only 1 person out my graduating class of 20 got a full time job!). I have been working per diem for the past two years since I graduated (from my AS) and transferred to get my BS degree full-time. Now that I&#039;m done with my BS degree, I still can&#039;t find FT employment (I need health insurance!), and am really disappointed with the hourly wage in my state (new hires only start at $16/hour!) when the cost of living and taxes in my state are very high! I have been taking a few night classes in computers/networking while working per diem, thinking I might be able to get into PACS/RIS administration or other dept. network systems admin. in the hospital (or any business), but still not too sure about the employment reliability in the computer/IT area either...

I love working with people, caring for others, but was always a little &quot;nervous&quot; about all the procedures/responsibilities nurses have (although we do our share of fun as rad techs, too). I know I could do if I put my mind to it... I had a fairly easy time in college with good grades (3.85 graduating BS GPA, and I took pre-med science courses like Bio, Chem, Physics, etc). I realize the commitment and challenges of nursing school and the CRNA program and fully respect anyone who goes through it! I like the idea of becoming a CRNA, more autonomy, you pick your place of work and hours, better pay, more specialized, etc. The only thing I am concerned about is how women (and men) out there balance family life and work life. I am in no hurry, by any means, to get married and have a family, but by the time I graduate CNRA school, I may thinking of that. I don&#039;t plan on having a huge family or being a stay at home mom for life or anything like that... I just want options and don&#039;t want my career to completely rule my life. How do you guys balance your career and other aspects of your life? I want a family first, then my career, not the other way around! Is CRNA the career for me? Or is it a full-time, life changing comittment? I realize one must love their job and always be focused on continuing education and what is best for the patient... but I also want a job that I can leave at the hospital and come home to my family and still have &quot;other interests.&quot; No offense to anyone, I don&#039;t want to be an MD or work 80 hours a week (I have huge respect for those who can do that). I just want a stable, rewarding career that will allow my family and I to live confortably and happily. I know it may be somewhat stressful of a career (as there is stress in ANY job), but don&#039;t want it to affect my entire life (is there a high &quot;burn out&quot; rate like there is in some other nursing specialties?) I would also like the opportunity to maybe work part-time if I have kids...

What are you opinions? How do you balance work and home life? Would any of you do anything different (if you could go back)? Is CRNA a good &quot;mothers&quot; career? Is it worth all the time and training you put in? Thank you for your time and opinions...

As much as possible, I want to clean my face using easy natural methods, and I chose the cucumber, so I would really appreciate your answers guys. Thanks!

<description>I bought a TV projector lamp from a US online store before, it was cheap but the frigging customs/brokerage/whatever charge was like $60 and wasn&#039;t mentioned on the website.
I&#039;m planning to order some little cellphone charms on eBay, it says the &quot;shipping is free&quot;, usually how much are the customs if the they are shipping from Hong Kong and I&#039;m in Canada? There&#039;s no f*cking way I&#039;m going to buy it if the charm itself is like $5 and the customs charge is $60.
Yahoo probably won&#039;t allow posting links but it&#039;s a Totoro cellphone charm, should be one of the results on the first page on eBay.

<description>I am a 39yr old registered dental assistant in the state of Tennessee. I was recently laid off in March and have been getting unemployment for the time being. I am the parent of a 2yr old and a 16yr old. I need to keep a home for us and my current car. The job market is pretty much saturated with new dental assistant graduates. Most practices want new and fresh out of school assistants that they can mold into the perfect assistant for their practice and not a seasoned assistant of 7 yrs like I me. they just assume that there isn&#039;t any ( and I know this isn&#039;t a real word but... &quot; teachability &quot; in an older assistant. I have all kinds of certifications and qualifications under my belt such as Coronal Polishing, Sealant Application, EKG monitoring, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant, Radiology
Phlebotomy / Intravenous Sedation,CPR Certified, and Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, but all that can be both good and bad because the last place I sent my resume to said that I had too many qualifications and did not want to approach me because they were sure that my salary requirements would probably be way more than they were willing to pay. And the only way that I know that info is that I sent a resume to a practice that one of the student that I trained and she was there when they pulled my resume off the fax machine. She didn&#039;t want them to know that she knew me because she had just gotten hired there and therefore didn&#039;t want to seem like she was trying to pull strings. But the point I&#039;m making is if that was what they thought of my resume, then I can just imagine what the rest of the offices I sent the resume is thinking. Also in Memphis (although I have looked and there are not many of them available but ...) the minimum wage jobs will not get me anything close to what I need to support my family and definitely will not cove the cost of childcare or health insurance. To be blunt, I would just be working to pay for the childcare itself. In any case, I have always wanted to go back school but never had the nerve or the time. Since I am laid off and unemployment is covering almost half of my expenses, I feel like this is the best time to do so. When I went to Dental assisting school, it was a quick fix for when I was laid off from a warehouse job 8 yrs ago but now I need to do something real that has the potential to make some real money! I have been told that if I go to a 2 or 4 yr college there is a possibility that I can get financial aid and still get unemployment. I was also told that some loans or grants ( I don&#039;t know which ) but they have said you sometimes can apply for more that you need to offset the cost of maintaining a place to stay. Not to get too personal but my rent is $700 a month and I have a car note of $450. a month and not to mention car insurance that I cannot drop of $165 a month. I have reluctantly applied and was approved for food stamps and Tenn-care health insurance. I also have my unemployment payments, plus child support and SSI Disability Insurance( that is paid for by my child&#039;s father) all together is a total around $1100 a month. Now I&#039;m sure that whatever loans or grants (If there is such a thing as the type I am inquiring about) won&#039;t cover all expenses, but anything can help in this situation. If only I could have enough extra to cover the rent or the car note. I don&#039;t have any help and will not have anywhere to go if I loose my place. I have excellent credit but with no employment I am not sure if that would change my outcome. What is the process for applying for these types of loans and is there help for single mother in the state of Tennessee? I need help soon. I only have enough money to live off of for the next 3 and a half months or so.. I need an outlet fast. Please help with any suggestions that you may have. Thank you!

<description>I know some schools require a bachelors but some do not REQUIRE it although you know they want one.
Will not having a bachelors drastically change my chance to get into the program instead of just taking the required classes?

Thanks in advance...
Texas Tech says no Bachelors is required...
